Asia metal: first of all, thank Mr. Yang for accepting the exclusive interview of Asia metal and your support for Asia metal. Your company is a manganese ball manufacturer. Please review the manganese ball Market in 2010.
Yang: Thank you!
Compared with last year, the first half of this year has picked up somewhat, but it is still relatively flat. Especially after July, the cancellation of the tax rebate for manganese balls has had a great impact on the export market, and the whole market has almost stopped. However, due to the rigid demand of customers, exports have increased steadily in the second half of the year, and the demand of customers has gradually improved. This shows that more and more new and old customers have demand for manganese balls. In addition, our technology and quality are constantly improving to meet the different requirements of customers, and the export performance in the second half of the year is better.
Asian metals: since manganese balls are purchased from electrolytic manganese as raw materials, please make a brief analysis of the electrolytic manganese Market in 2010.
Yang: in 2010, the global economy further recovered from the crisis, the domestic and foreign demand gradually recovered, and the output and export volume of electrolytic manganese also gradually recovered. On the whole, the domestic market has been stronger than the export market. Due to the influence of a series of factors such as inflation and energy saving and emission reduction policies, the price of electrolytic manganese has changed greatly this year, but the rigid demand of the market can not be ignored, and the price is gradually rising. In order to improve the sustainable development ability of the electrolytic manganese industry, the electrolytic manganese factory must step up the technological transformation, eliminate the backward production capacity, reduce energy consumption and pollution, and actively respond to the national energy saving and emission reduction policies.
Asian metals: your company's capacity scale in 2010, current output and plant distribution.
Yang: our current manganese ball production capacity is about 1500 tons per month, and the output is about 1200 tons per month. The factory is located in Changsha and Yueyang, Hunan.
Asian metal: what is your development plan for 2011? Do you have any plan to continue large-scale production and market share?
Yang: our company will continue to expand the export business of manganese balls and other related products next year. We plan to continue to expand the export scale and target countries.
Asian metals: there are more orders for manganese ball export recently, and the export volume of electrolytic manganese is shrinking. What do you think of the future export market of electrolytic manganese and manganese ball?
Yang: it is not ruled out that the price of manganese balls and the export price of electrolytic manganese have certain price advantages, which are attractive to customers. However, in fact, many large foreign factories still use electrolytic manganese, which depends on whether each factory is willing to adjust the production process and use manganese balls to replace electrolytic manganese. In view of the existence of some violations in the export of electrolytic manganese sheets, the difference between the price of manganese sheets and the price of manganese balls is not as large as the legend, and the export business of manganese balls is still conducted in some specific users. Compared with the whole export market, the export share of manganese peaches is not large, and compared with the whole global market, the share is very small. It is believed that with the steady economic recovery, the demand of foreign steel mills for electrolytic manganese series will be further increased. The export of manganese peaches and electrolytic manganese sheets will increase synchronously.
Asian metals: what do you think about the tariff of manganese balls
Yang: in recent years, the state has continuously imposed and increased export tariffs on resource products, but it is impossible to increase endlessly. From the perspective of maintaining the stable growth of the industry, it is hoped that a relatively stable tariff policy can be maintained for both manganese balls and other resource products in the future.
Asian metals: what is your export volume of manganese balls in 2010? Please make a comparison and analysis with the export volume in 2009.
Yang: our export volume of manganese balls in 2010 was 8500 tons, an increase of 30% compared with 2009. In 2009, it was still in the aftershock of the 2008 economic crisis, and the export market was not little affected. However, since the second half of this year, the demand for manganese balls in the international market has gradually recovered.
Asian metals: what is the current price of electrolytic manganese and manganese balls? What do you think of the recent trend of manganese price?
Yang: at present, the normal FOB price of electrolytic manganese sheet is about 3500 US dollars / ton, but the actual international market price is lower than that. The FOB price of manganese balls is about 2900-3000 US dollars / ton. At present, the manganese price is at a relatively high level this year, with little fluctuation. It should be stable before the year.
Asian metals: the price of electrolytic manganese fluctuates greatly this year. Please briefly analyze the reasons.
Yang: Yes, we did not estimate that the maximum ex factory price could reach 19000 yuan / ton. At that time, we thought that the price would fall below 14000 yuan / ton. It seems that the national power, taxation, resources, environmental protection and other industrial policies have a great impact on prices. At the same time, the overall economy has a certain impact on it. In addition, the speculation of factory traders often has a great impact on the fluctuation of the price of electrolytic manganese.
Asian metals: the energy-saving and emission reduction policies in 2010 are vigorous. What is the impact on your company? The impact of power restriction policy on domestic output.
Yang: in the process of processing and production, our company has always paid attention to improving the quality on the premise of energy conservation and emission reduction and environmental protection. Energy conservation and emission reduction mainly lead to the reduction of short-term market supply, resulting in price rise, especially severe market fluctuations, and certain difficulties to our business operation. But in the long run, it is also an effective means to integrate electrolytic manganese resources, which is conducive to the healthy development of the whole industry.
Asian metals: the appreciation of RMB and the tightening of credit policy will have an impact on the manganese market. Will it have any impact on your company?
Yang: the appreciation of RMB has a great impact on export enterprises, which directly leads to the reduction of our profits. Because our own funds are abundant, the credit policy has no obvious impact on our company at present.
Asian metals: forecast the market trend of manganese balls in January 2011.
Yang: according to the usual practice, all enterprises will plan to purchase before the year to prepare for inventory. The price of manganese balls is expected to rise steadily, and generally tends to be stable.
Asia metal: finally, thank you again for your interview and support. I wish you a prosperous future.
Yang: Thank you.
